"Elephants Dream is the story of two strange characters exploring a capricious and seemingly infinite machine. The elder, Proog, acts as a tour-guide and protector, happily showing off the sights and dangers of the machine to his initially curious but increasingly skeptical protege Emo. As their journey unfolds we discover signs that the machine is not all Proog thinks it is, and his guiding takes on a more desperate aspect.
Elephants Dream is the world’s first open movie, made entirely with open source graphics software such as Blender, and with all production files freely available to use..."

This is a "Blender" movie. Made with the Blender Animation program. There are others too, Big Buck Bunny and Sintel are both better imho. I don't know if anyone's uploaded them here yet as they are all widely available online.Blender
is a free program so in theory anyone could have made this movie, and the others I mentioned too. The animation in this particular film is very very good as is the writing/plot. Very watchable but I HIGHLY recommend "Sintel" and "Big Buck Bunny". Oh.... Blender is a free program if you think you would like to try your hand at this kind of thing, with many tutorials on youtube.
